About Me: Who and Why

Hi, I’m Kenny.  I’m not quite sure what to say about myself, except that as I live and when I die I want it to be said of me that I am a follower of Jesus.

I have learned a lot in life, and I have so much more to learn.  But I’ve also learned that it’s important to put into practice what you believe, so I’m working on that quite a bit too.

So why write?  Because I think that, in our time, far too much emphasis has been placed on what we DO instead of who we ARE.  I am a human being, not a human doing.

Also, because I’ve caught on to the fact that life is NOW.  There is no dress rehearsal.  And yet, at the same time, we’re all here on this planet and none of us have had any practice.  None of us have ever lived before our lives.  So even though this is IT, we’re still learning.  God is still teaching.  That’s how He set it up.  And God likes to use hands-on experience to teach us… on-the-job training, if you will.

This blog is about knowing that I’m in a process designed and orchestrated by God.  He’s taking a broken life and redeeming the pieces to make something beautiful.  Whether you know it or not, you are in a process too.  This blog is about living and learning as much as I can… and doing all as unto the Lord.
